Indian passport photos need a plain white or light-coloured background, a 2×2 inch (51×51mm) square crop, and the face centred and taking up roughly 70-80% of the frame — specifications that are easy to state and surprisingly fiddly to get right with a phone camera and a photo-editing app.
This tool crops and positions your photo to the standard passport dimensions, removes background clutter, and exports at the correct pixel size for both online passport applications and physical print. Everything runs client-side using the Canvas API, so your photo isn't uploaded anywhere until you choose to download the result.
The most common rejection reasons for passport photos aren't sizing — they're wearing glasses with glare, a shadowed background from indoor lighting, or a photo that's more than a few months old. Take the source photo in even daylight against a plain wall for the best result.
Presets cover SSC, UPSC, RRB, IBPS, SBI, NTA, IB, State PSC, CAPF and more — 86 exam presets in total across the toolkit.

2×2 inches (51×51mm), with the face centred and a plain white or light background — this tool applies that crop automatically.
The default preset targets Indian passport specifications, but you can adjust the crop dimensions manually for other countries' requirements, which vary slightly in aspect ratio and head-size percentage.
